In order to lose fat safely, you need a mixture of diet and exercise. What to diet on and how to exercise? Simple. You have to cut your calories and exercise to burn off excess fats. There you go, the magic solution.

It really is a simple matter of science. You need a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound of fat. Cutting that many calories form your diet alone usually leads to unhealthy eating. Combine that with exercise and you can be healthy about losing weight.

Tips for Exercising

So, when do you exercise? Well, let me tell you a secret; the best time to work out is when your blood sugar is low. Therefore, this means doing it some time after your eat or before you eat. The best suggestion I can offer you is that you should work out the first thing in the morning, this allows your body to burn more fat.

You should also try to workout at your target heart rate. To figure out what this is you will subtract your age form 220. Then you will want to workout at 55% to 85% of this maximum heart rate. If you are a true beginner, though, you should only go for 55% to 65% of that number.

Keep Motivated

One of the biggest challenges in losing fat is staying motivated. You may work out for a whole week and see no results, but it isn't all about what you see in the mirror or what number the scale is displaying. It is also about how you feel.

A secret that I have tried and tested is that you should avoid the scale. I am sure your weight would go up and down throughout the day therefore, it is not a good indicator. The best way is to take mesurements. It is a better indicator.
