Internet Article Marketing - 7 Tips To Get Your Articles Read

By: James Comer

One of the most popular ways of promoting your website is by writing articles. This is free and easy. Perhaps you've wondered why you articles aren't getting passed around or published. Maybe no one is reading it? Before you ask people to pass your article around, you need to entice them to read it.

When you wrote it, you wanted your article to be read. If no one reads it, it basically means that it isn't going to be published or passed around at all, either. You spent the time it took to write your article, so I'm sure you would like it to be read. Don't waste your time if you only want it to be rejected. There are many articles written about the same topic as you've chosen. Take the time to do it right and make yours visible among the others. How are you going to do this?

Quite often, some articles get read, but most of them do not. This is happening because most people aren't being very creative and really exploring article marketing. Get your article to look alive. Below are 7 tips I use for making my articles get noticed and having people actually read them. You made it this far, right?

1. It's important to write about something that is interesting to you. Write your articles in a different way. Most likely, there are many articles that are written about your subject on the internet. You may have seen articles talking about the same thing that you want to talk about, and you may have even done your research using some of them. Being knowledgeable about your subject helps you. Try to approach the subject in a different way. Add some humor, ask some obvious questions about the subject that many people would want to ask, but that most other articles don't include them. Of course, you should also answer the quetsions. By asking questions and answering them- it makes your article more interesting to read.

2. Be sure to make your headline "catchy". Headlines that are catchy are some of the most- if not THE most important features of your article. Your article will get included on the list of article directories. Usually your headline is displayed with a little snippet underneath it. An effective headline is designed to capture the attention of the people browsing the article directory. This is why it should have some or the most popular keywords in the headline that are related to your subject. It matters not how interesting and informative your article is if it doesn't capture the reader's attention. Some people will judge an article just by skimming the headlines. If your headline doesn't grab their attention, you've lost them before you even started.

3. You should also consider a good introduction. Because this is where people start to read your article. Your article should be also be catchy, as well. Consider asking a burning questions for the introduction. This would be very likely to catch folk's attention. Usually your article will develop from one question to another.

4. Ease of Reading

5. Make your reader believe that you know what you're talking about. Make it a bit humorous.

6. Don't turn it into a sales pitch. Bear in mind that you are trying to give information, not sell. By turning it into a sales pitch you be as annoying as the salesman knocking on the door during breakfast.

7. And lastly, never forget to include your name, business name, and website URL in your resource box. This is the most common mistake article writers do.
