I have heard that most doctors don’t recommend this, but when I’m feeling very heavy, sometimes right after a meal… I get up and work out. There is no surprise in this, but minutes after I’m done, the food is all gone from my stomach and I feel all light and free. That’s because the exercise sped my metabolism up to consume the food. It could be the same for you. But of course – seek the advice of your doctor first.

Exercise is the best way to speed up metabolism, if you ask me. You can do cardiovascular exercise, or can do resistance training. One keeps your system sped up for a day, and the other has effects that can last up to two days. Either way, you get to stay in the pink.

Here’s a secret: until you are able to do something about your metabolism, you are doomed to continue having problems with your weight. Now there are a whole lot of other things that are involved, but this is the one thing that both you and everybody else will see. You ought to do that something real quick. Thankfully, there are now lots of ways to effectively boost your metabolism.

Under normal circumstances, bigger people tend to have a faster metabolism than people that are smaller. Unless you are obese, in which case your metabolism is much too slow for what your body needs, you can speed up the rate of your metabolism by simply getting bigger. But of course I don’t mean getting too fat. Not at all.

Boosting human metabolism is easy. In fact, it's one of the easiest things to do that can help you live long and healthy. You could do it either by increasing your daily exercise or overall activity. This way, you get to consume a lot of the calories that could have stayed in your system and caused you illness.
