This may be true in some cases because some online classes are just not that good, but this mainly depends on what degree and what college you choose. This is why researching an online college and researching exactly what you want from it is essential getting the most out of your education.

Another potential pitfall is that the format of getting your degree online will be harder for you considering you have only taken college classes on campus. This should not be a problem for most people. Considering that it may be hard to get use to the online format at first, after getting use to it, online classes and their flexibility too ones schedule end up being easier for most people.

So in the end one should realize that there are some pro and cons to pursuing an online college degree. But after extensive research and planning before enrolling, almost every downfall to getting your degree online can be eliminated. An online college degree is just as legitimate as an on campus degree, if the right school and program is chosen. You will save time and money if you choose the rout of getting your degree online.
